Lisa Marais explained, "When I sing, I can feel the soul of R&B, and it takes me to another place in my mind." Her music gives her audience an old-school feel while combining trap soul with her R&B passion.  When asked why she loves singing, She said, "Music is the main things that keeps me going, no matter what, and I want to make music to do the same for others."
